We visited Vietnam from the 1st to 25th of January this year. It was an amazing three and a half weeks as we explored this vibrant country moving from north to south. Entering Vietnam from Laos was certainly a bit of a shock; though the two countries are next-door neighbours, Vietnam is much busier in so many ways. Once we adjusted to the noise and traffic that exists everywhere, we were able to enjoy the wonderful cuisine, beautiful countryside, friendly people and exciting cities. The Tet lunar new year celebration was definitely a highlight; the entire country appeared to be scrubbed inside out and decorated with beautiful flowers and lights.
