Sleeping in the Desert: Erg Chebbi Dunes

A Moroccan Dining Experience

Hooking up with Harriet, Nancy, and Diana proved to be fortuitous, in more ways than one. Not only were they ultra prepared and had every single guidebook printed on Morocco with them, but they also had a very high entertainment value. Actually, Nancy and Harriet were fond of saying, "We're such dorks..." Well, if that's true, it sure looks like a lot of fun being a dork!

Harriet, Jen, Diana, and Nancy demonstrating what Roman models looked like. It's hard to come up with a caption for this. I really have no idea what they are doing.
Nancy and Harriet are dismayed at not being allowed to enter yet again.
A cow's head was an unexpected discovery in the market of Moulay Idriss, athough while Nancy looks dismayed again, Harriet looks... impressed?
Some tourists prefer to take their pictures from slightly unconventional angles.
We are camels. Caaaaaamelllls... Ok, so maybe we've been in the desert too long and the sun has fried our brains.
Look at us, surfing the dunes like true Californians! Tsk, tsk, Nancy and Harriet, corrupting Jen yet again.
Whooo hooo! Giddy up camel! Nancy whooping it up in the desert.
Egpytian pharohs didn't have style like this...
Watch out for that lamp post! What lamppost? Oh, THAT lamppost?
Our guide tells us to sit on this stone block in the middle of the Roman ruins of Volubulis. We have no idea why, and are wonder if he's enjoying this.
