On the Aegean Coast of Turkey, we checked out many Roman Ruins, including Pirene, Miletus, Didyma, and of course, Ephesus. A 23-hour bus ride took us to the very east of Turkey, up to the summit of Mt. Nemrut, where we saw the incredible rock heads while watching the sunrise. Close to the Syrian border, we got a taste of a very different side of Turkey, with many Arab and Kurdish people populating the towns of the eastern region.
