  Players

Jeff Abraham
#44

One of the newest members of the Canadian Bacon squad, Jeff brings a solid presence to the defensive line. His enthusiasm for the game is due not only to the energy of his youth, but also by his drive to win. Jeff is always knows when to rush on up on the attack and when to hang back on D. He can be counted on to skate hard night after night.

  Colin Cathro
#11

The venerable sage of the team, Colin has the honour of being the only player with his own fan club, his kids! His wicked wrist shot surprises goalies time and time again, but his smooth, stand-up style of skating lures his defenders into a false sense of security until he blows by them for another goal. Last season Colin played with a pelvic injury for three months before taking some time out to heal.

  Paul Eng
#25

Paul's penchant for hockey is matched only by the power of his tenor voice. Occasionally known as Molokov, Paul thinks that he is Hermes on rollerblades and demonstrates so by being one of the fastest skaters on the rink. With all his Team Canada goalie gear, he looks downright intimidating between the pipes. Oh, he plays pretty well in there too, as he does on both forward and defense as well.

  Dave Fong
#7

The newest addition to the Canadian Lite team, Dave has the dubious honour of also being Paul's roommate. Yet another Microsoft geek, Dave played on the the Slap Sloths before being picked up on waivers by the Canadian Franchise. He has been working hard to meet the expectations that are demanded by those wearing the Team Canada jersey.

  Travis Hamilton
#00

One of the original members of the Canadian Bacon team, Travis was abruptly taken out of action two games into last season and was put on Injured Reserve with a serious knee injury. Back on the rink after a three month recovery period, Travis looks to continue intimidating the opposing offence as he remains rooted in the slot defending the net.

Kevin James
#76

The crucial backstop for both squads, Kevin is often the first to arrive and the last to leave the arena. Both Canadian franchise teams rely on his quick reflexes and keen eye, as he produces one big save after another. While there is some Canadian blood in Kevin via his grandfater, his US citizenship is excused by the fact that he seems to know more about Canada than most Canadians do.

  Jeff Lee
#10

One of the youngest players in the Canadian franchise organization, Jeff is well known to be an overachiever in the Bronze A league. While waiting for the right opprortunity to take the next step in his hockey career, Jeff keeps his stats high by being the highest scoring defenceman on the Canadian Lite team. Always a welcome sub for Canadian Bacon, Jeff can't wait to finish school so he can play more hockey.

  Jason Lim
#19

Arguably the fastest moving player on the rink, Jason is fast with both his skates and his stick. A quick slap shot and great hockey sense make Jason one of the biggest offensive threats in the Canadian Bacon arsenal. He seeks to round out his hockey ability this season by playing defence; while he goes on the rush for a goal attempt, he is always quick enough to catch up with the opponents coming back down the rink. He thinks he can fly. He probably can.

  Brian So
#55

Brian has got the nicest backwards cross-overs on the team. But aside from just that, he is incredibly adept at taking down two on one's as they rush in on goal. Negotiations for Brian's contract renewal almost broke down when he found out he had to pay the same for "SO" on his jersey as would "NEIDERMEYER", but fortunately for Canadian Bacon, he signed up for another season.

  Evelyn Wong
#12

A promising rookie rising through the farm system, Evelyn comes with a great deal of experience from another league up north, one that involves hooked short sticks and a ball. She continues to build up her speed and manouverability as her skating ability improves with each game. Registering several assists last season, Evelyn has already shut up critics on opposing teams who previously claimed, "girls can't play hockey."

  Ken Wong
#18

Every team has a goon. Canadian Bacon and Lite are no exception, as Ken set a franchise record last year with five games in a row with penalties to his credit. However, he offsets his desire to spend time in the box by producing an inordinante number of points, more than would be expected by the typical goon. His skating ability has improved exponentially since his first game two seasons ago; no longer does he take a slap shot then fall on his fanny.

  Tony Wong
#17

One of the quietest players on the rink, Tony proves to be a silent but deadly threat as he outmanouvers opposing defencemen with incredible stick-handling skills. While his skating skills rapidly improve to meet his shooting ability, Tony easily navigates around defenders with soft hands and a light touch, to be followed up by a wicked slap shot. With his great hockey sense, some say he has eyes in the back of his head.

  Jennifer Yeung
#49

Another rookie showing a lot of potential, Jennifer already made her mark in a pivotal game of her first season with a deceptive off-the-skate goal while she was fighting for position in the slot. Several bruises and injuries later, she gains valuable experience in the farm system as her skating speed and stick-handling ability continue to approve. News of her developing skills has travelled outside the team; she has received solicitations to join other women's teams in the league, but she declined in favour of Canadian Lite.

  Winston Yeung
#8

A die-hard Team Canada fan, Winston has already admitted himself to the Puckaholic Anonymous Center for treatment of hockey addiction. When missing hockey games due to work travel requirements, Winston spends too much time developing silly web sites. His skating abilities have improved significantly since investing in what is now becoming the team blades of choice, the Mission Vibes.

  Delwin Yung
#77

Known for his grinding style and hard work in the corners, Delwin can be depended on for a solid effort along the boards and in the slot. His skating ability seems to be affected somewhat by the audit season; there is definitely more energy in his strides when quarterly reports have been filed. Delwin continues to work on his positional play and setting up passes on the breakout.

  Former Players
  Calvin Cheng

A former member of the Canadian Bacon organization, Calvin left the club to pursue interests in Texas. A clause in his contract left the door open for his return should his Texan experience prove to be undesireable.

  Marshall Johnson

Marshall was last seen negotiating with Chinese officials to join the Chinese National hockey team. He remains on standby to substitute for Canadian Bacon should the need arise.

  Stacy Kuchta
Stacy continues to hold the club record for shortest tenure with the organization, as his hockey career currently stands at 15 minutes. While breaking his ankle on the play that sidelined him indefinitely, he did manage to score, freezing his shooting percentage with one shot and one goal at 100%.
